Akranes Lighthouse
Akranes is on the west coast of Iceland a little north of Reykjavik. This is one of two lighthouses there and is a long exposure shot taken at the end of May this year, when it was light pretty much all day and night. The problem with this, for a first time visitor to Iceland, is that it’s very easy to lose track of time. It was early evening when we arrived in Akranes, but soon reached 9:30pm before we realised that we ought to find somewhere to eat. At this time in a small town like Akranes, there isn’t a lot left open!
