The Millennium Bridge is a steel suspension foot bridge across the River Thames in London. It was opened in the year 2000 and then closed two days later, after being declared unsafe due to excessive swaying when a large number of people were walking across it. After almost two years of modifications to steady it, it re-opened in 2002. The bridge crosses the Thames from just in front of the Tate Modern on the south bank to near St Paul’s Cathedral on the north of the river.
This photo is a four minute long exposure, which has smoothed out the movement in the river and the clouds.
